Discovering the vide grenier

Duras brocante

Duras brocante

One of the things that I have been looking forward to, now we have a house in France, is visiting the many vide greniers that take place in small villages and towns.  When we were visiting for the first time at Easter I did get to look around several vide greniers, which literally means “empty attic”.  I was amazed at the variety of what was on offer and now we are back again I will try to show the many things that are on offer in these exciting treasure troves.  Today was a trip to Duras to their brocante which, although interesting, was a little expensive for me.
